Bundesbank president talks of “historic opportunity” to improve payments and avoid risk
Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) should be interoperable to “vastly improve” cross-border transactions, the president of the Deutsche Bundesbank has said.
Speaking today (October 14) at the Reserve Bank of India’s High-Level Conference in New Delhi, Joachim Nagel said central banks should collaborate to “reap the benefits [of] cross-border payment” by ensuring CBDCs were interoperable.
