The federal council of Switzerland appointed Martin Schlegel as the new chairman of the governing board of the Swiss National Bank, it announced on June 26. The council also promoted Antoine Martin to be the board’s vice-chairman and named Petra Tschudin as its third member. All three will begin their new roles on October 1.
