OECD Economic Survey of Lithuania 2022 – Thursday 20 October

Presentation and press conference at 10:30 am in Vilnius

 

The OECD will present its latest Economic Survey of Lithuania on Thursday 20 October 2022. The Survey discusses how Lithuania can address the immediate impacts on its economy from Russia’s war against Ukraine, including ways to support vulnerable households and strengthen energy independence. It also discusses longer-term issues such as the need for reforms to boost employment and productivity growth. A special chapter looks at how Lithuania could benefit from accelerating its digital transformation.

 

OECD Acting Chief Economist Alvaro Pereira will present the Survey’s key findings and recommendations alongside Minister of Finance Gintarė Skaistė at 10:30 am local time on Thursday 20 October at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania (Katedros sq. 4, Vilnius, Visitors’ Lobby Auditorium.) The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with government and Central Bank officials, and a press conference from 11:50 am. The event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
