
A US and Iranian dual citizen has pleaded guilty in a US federal court to selling technology to the Central Bank of Iran.
Kambiz Attar Kashani is facing up to 20 years in prison and has agreed to pay a $50,000 dollar fine. He was arrested on January 14 on charges of violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and on June 28 pleaded guilty to conspiring to sell technology from US firms to Iran’s central bank between February 2019 and June 2021.
