
Lesotho’s government announced on June 8 that it had appointed Emmanuel Maluke Letete to a five-year term as the new central bank governor.
Letete was a non-executive director on the central bank board between 2015 and 2020. In 2020, he joined the office of prime minister Moeketsi Majoro as an economic adviser, and also led the government’s accountability unit.
