
The lower house of the Polish parliament confirmed Adam Glapiński to a second six-year term as central bank governor on May 12.
Glapiński won narrowly after his candidacy faced sharp criticism in the chamber, with politicians confirming him in a 234–223 vote. He won unanimous support from the governing coalition’s 228 deputies. Inflation in Poland passed 12% in April, despite eight increases in the policy rate in recent months.
