Singapore, 24 March 2022 – Vietcombank was recognised as the Most Selected Main Retail Bank in Vietnam in the BankQuality Consumer Survey and Ranking of Retail Banks 2021.
Vietcombank, Techcombank, BIDV, Asia Commercial Bank and Agribank obtained the highest percentages among the top five banks selected as main retail banks in Vietnam.
Vietcombank was recognised as the Most Selected Main Retail Bank in Vietnam
As part of the 2021 BankQuality Consumer Survey on Retail Banks in Vietnam, Vietcombank was selected by the highest number of consumers as their main retail bank in Vietnam. Twenty-seven per cent of consumers selected the bank, which is more than twice of the 11% who selected the second placed bank. The survey assessed consumer perception, attitude and loyalty to financial institutions based on experience with service, channels, products and COVID-19 support initiatives.

Vietcombank has implemented an e-KYC solution to verify and authenticate bank account holder’s identity quicker and safer than with traditional methods. New bank accounts are registered on VCB Digibank, allowing customers to make online transactions of up to VND100 million ($4,350) per month. Customers can increase the limit by visiting a Vietcombank transaction counter. Customers can transfer funds both inside and outside of Vietcombank’s system completely free with VCB Plus account package added automatically to online bank accounts.
Highly rated for branch network coverage
Consumers voted Vietcombank as the most selected main retail bank for its branch coverage. Vietcombank has 116 branches with 474 transaction offices operating in 56 provinces and cities across the country: 26 branches in the north (22.4%); 15 branches in Hanoi (12.9%); 15 branches in northern-central (12.9%); 13 branches in the southern-central and highland regions (11.2%); 18 branches in Ho Chi Minh City (15.6%); 14 branches in south-eastern region (12.1%); and 15 branches in the south-western region (12.9%). Vietcombank maintains correspondent relationships with 1,249 banks in 102 countries and territories worldwide. Moreover, Vietcombank has also developed an Autobank system with over 2,500 ATMs and more than 60,000 merchants and points of sale nationwide.
