Trump taps Bowman to become Fed’s vice-chair for supervision

US president Donald Trump on March 17 nominated Michelle Bowman to become the new vice-chair for supervision at the Federal Reserve.

Bowman, a current member of the Fed’s board of governors, would replace Michael Barr, who resigned as supervision vice-chair earlier this year. She expressed her gratitude in a statement regarding the nomination.
