Central bank digital currencies must be user-friendly – ECB study

When central bank are designing digital currencies they should make it as easy as possible for consumers to adopt them, research from the European Central Bank (ECB) says.

The paper, published on September 18, argues that central banks should learn from the attributes that make consumers use cash or payment cards.
