Central banks adopt a variety of approaches to layering their communications, a practice that is in use at around two-thirds of respondents to the Communications Benchmarks 2024.
Layering provides different levels of detail and technicality in a single report or web page, to help users with different levels of expertise access key findings. Of the 34 institutions that provided data on the issue, 67.6% use some form of layering.
