People: South Africa deputy governor plans to resign

South Africa: South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) deputy governor Kuben Naidoo is resigning, according to media reports. Bloomberg reported on October 23 that Naidoo had submitted his resignation to president Cyril Ramaphosa, who has not yet formally accepted it. Naidoo told Bloomberg that he was still negotiating his departure date.

Naidoo first joined the Sarb in early 2013 as an adviser to governor Gill Marcus. He was appointed deputy governor in April 2015, when Lesetja Kganyago was promoted
