Central banks from emerging market economies (EMEs) tend to favour social media for disseminating information to the public, while advanced economy institutions still prefer traditional channels, data from the Communications Benchmarks 2023 suggests.
On average, EME respondents conducted 51.5% of their external communications via social media, and 48.5% via traditional media.
