Denmark’s government has appointed a former civil servant to be the head of the be the country’s central bank governor, it announced today (January 20).
Christian Kettel Thomsen will be governor of the Danish National Bank from February 1. He will succeed Lars Rohde, who announced his resignation last year, after leading the central bank since 2013.
