Bo Bo Nge in hands of ‘arbitrary’ regime

Former Central Bank of Myanmar deputy governor Bo Bo Nge faces an at-best uncertain future at the hands of a capricious and brutal regime, experts say.

The armed forces arrested Bo Bo Nge during the February 1, 2021 coup against the elected government led by the National League of Democracy (NLD) party. He has been in custody ever since. The military charged him with corruption-related offences in May 2022.
