The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis, James Bullard, spoke to a closed event hosted by Citigroup, the New York Times reported on October 20. The event took place on October 14 in Washington DC, alongside the autumn meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
The St Louis Fed issued a statement saying Bullard received no payment for his speech, which the paper described as a “off-the-record, invitation-only forum”. Citigroup declined to comment to Central Banking
