The Brazilian government will nominate former central bank governor Ilan Goldfajn as its candidate for the presidency of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), media reports indicate.
If put forward, Goldfajn would be one of two leading candidates to take charge of the regional institution, though several other names have been floated.
The Brazilian economy ministry declined to comment on the rumours.
The IDB board of governors will elect a new president on November 20, to succeed
