A senior English judge ruled that the country’s courts would continue to recognise the Venezuelan opposition’s central bank board.
The Venezuelan government’s central bank had asked the English court to acknowledge a ruling by Venezuela’s supreme court dismissing the rival central bank directorate.
The ruling was handed down by judge Sara Cockerill in the commercial court, a branch of the high court. It followed a December decision by the United Kingdom supreme court.
