The Guinean military junta’s arrest of the central bank governor may be linked to a dispute over gold reserves, a media report suggested.
Lounseny Nabé, the former governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG), was due to appear in court on theft charges on March 9. Nabé had been due in a trial court on February 23 but this hearing apparently did not take place.
