Conakry, capital of Guinea

The former governor of Guinea’s central bank was held in police custody for several days from February 4, news site Africa Guinée has reported.

Africa Guinée said that police summoned Lounsény Nabé to the central directorate of judicial investigations of the National Gendarmerie on February 4. It reported on February 8 that Nabé had not left the building.

It is not clear whether Nabé remains in custody. Guinea’s current president seized power in a military coup in September and dismissed Nabé
