BoE admits errors over audio leak

The Bank of England has admitted to a number of failures that allowed for the leak of a backup audio feed of its press conferences in 2019.  

The BoE failed to investigate a warning from a third party in 2018 about the firm it was using to live-stream its press conferences. Officials incorrectly believed it was impossible for the firm to do what had been alleged, the BoE said in a report published on September 23.
