Guinea junta replaces central bank leadership

Guinea’s military government removed the governor and deputy governors of the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG) on December 7 and appointed new management, Guinean media reports.

The president, Mamadou Doumbouya, dismissed governor Lounceny Nabé, who was appointed by the previous president in December 2010, replacing him with Karamo Kaba. Doumbouya also removed deputy governors Baidy Aribot and Thierno Maadjou Sow.
