Slovak governor charged with bribery

The governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, Peter Kazimir, is being investigated for bribery, according to media reports.

The charges are linked to his time as finance minister in the government of former prime minister Robert Fico. As NBS governor, Kazimir is also a member of the governing council of the European Central Bank (ECB).
